Dear Readers:

Last year, My Basse registered a total of 2262624 hits. Our readership spanned the globe. We thank our readers for the support. We are hugely indebted to Maafanta.com for anchoring us on their widely-read website. This has contributed immensely to our readership growth. We are a young community website. We are a baby taking small, incremental steps. Hopefully, we will be able to stand on our own --- soon.

This website was created with both the Basse Association and the town of Basse singularly in mind. But over time, we have ventured into other matters, not necessarily connected to Basse alone, but to Gambian society, as a whole. We would like to continue reporting our country's natural beauty, history, sports, culture; and also bring into the open personal-experience stories which may not stand the chance of publication elsewhere.

We look forward to another year of service to our hometown and country. And we hope to continue contributing, in our small ways, to national development.
